Trigonotis cavaleriei, commonly known as Chinese forget-me-not, is an evergreen perennial herb native to the moist forest margins and stream banks in South-Central China. It typically grows to a height and width of 0.5-1 feet (0.2-0.3 meters), forming a low, mounding clump. The plant is adorned with small, bell-shaped flowers that are a mix of purple, white, and yellow, blooming in the spring and providing a delicate display. The foliage is also attractive, with a lush green appearance that adds texture to garden settings.

Chinese forget-me-not is valued for its charming flowers and its ability to thrive in shaded conditions, making it a suitable choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and as an understory plant. It is also used in rock gardens and as ground cover due to its low-growing habit. In cultivation, it prefers part shade, consistent moisture without waterlogging, and well-drained, fertile soil. While generally easy to maintain, it can be susceptible to slugs and snails, which may damage the foliage.
