Prostanthera rotundifolia, commonly known as Round-Leaf Mintbush, is an evergreen shrub native to open eucalyptus woodlands and forest margins in southeastern Australia, including New South Wales, Tasmania, and Victoria. It is an erect shrub that typically grows to 0.5–3 m (1 ft 8 in – 9 ft 10 in) in height and 1.5–2.5 m (4 ft 11 in – 8 ft 2 in) in width. The plant is characterized by its aromatic branches covered with short hairs and glands, and its foliage consists of egg-shaped to round leaves. The Round-Leaf Mintbush produces showy purple to mauve or pinkish flowers that bloom on the ends of branchlets from September to November, providing a colorful display in the spring.

The Round-Leaf Mintbush is valued for its aromatic foliage and vibrant flowers, which make it a popular choice for ornamental gardens. It has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit, indicating its excellence for garden use.
