Pavetta lanceolata, commonly known as Weeping Brides-Bush, Bride’s Bush, Forest Pavetta, or Christmas Pride, is an evergreen shrub native to the understory of tropical rainforests and open woodlands in Mozambique to South Africa. It exhibits a moderate growth rate, reaching heights of 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) and widths of 4-8 feet (1.2-2.4 meters). The plant features glossy, deep green leaves and clusters of fragrant, white flowers that are quite showy, blooming profusely in the summer and spring. After flowering, it may produce small, black berries that attract birds.
