Heuchera micrantha var. diversifolia, commonly known as Alumroot, is an evergreen perennial herb native to rocky outcrops and crevices in the coastal mountains and the Cascades of the Pacific Northwest. It typically grows to a height and width of 1-2 feet (0.3-0.6 meters). The plant forms a low, mounding clump of scalloped, round leaves, which can range in color from green to bronze. The delicate, bell-shaped flowers are borne on slender stems above the foliage in summer, displaying colors from pink to white, and are moderately showy.

Alumroot is valued for its foliage texture and mounding habit, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, woodland settings, and as a ground cover. It is also used in border fronts and containers. This plant is appreciated for its adaptability to a range of light conditions, from full sun to part shade, and its preference for well-drained soils.
