Hakea bakeriana, commonly known as None, is an evergreen shrub native to dry sclerophyll forests and coastal heaths in New South Wales, Australia. It typically grows to a height and width of 1–2 m (3–7 ft), featuring a dense, bushy habit with many branches. The leaves are sharply pointed, cylindrical in shape, and can be quite prickly to the touch. None is notable for its pink to crimson flowers, which are small but numerous, appearing in clusters of four to twelve. These flowers are most prolific in the cooler months, from fall to spring, adding color to the garden when many other plants are dormant. The fruit is a distinctive rough, wrinkled follicle with a short beak, which adds interest to the plant even after the flowering season.

None is valued for its ability to thrive in soils with fast drainage, making it suitable for gardens with poor soil. Its dense growth habit and prickly foliage can provide a deterrent to unwanted foot traffic, making it useful for planting along boundaries or in areas where a barrier is desired. While it prefers full sun, it can tolerate light shade. Gardeners should be cautious when handling this plant due to its sharp leaves.
