Dianthus superbus, commonly known as Fringed Pink, is an evergreen perennial herb native to temperate regions including grasslands, meadows, and the edges of forests in Europe, Northern and Central Asia, and the Russian Far East. This species typically grows to a height of 80 cm. The slender leaves are green to greyish green, reaching up to 8 cm in length. Fringed Pink is celebrated for its sweetly scented flowers, which are 3–5 cm in diameter and feature five deeply cut fringed petals that range in color from pink to lavender with a greenish base. These flowers are particularly showy, blooming in branched clusters at the top of the stems from early to late summer, attracting pollinators and adding a delicate texture to garden settings.

Fringed Pink is valued for its ornamental flowers, which can enhance border plantings, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It is also used for its fragrance in cut flower arrangements.
