Cardamine flexuosa, commonly known as Wavy Bittercress or Wood Bitter-cress, is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant native to damp, shady woodlands, stream banks, and moist meadows across Europe and much of Asia. It typically grows to a height of 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) and is characterized by its small, white flowers that bloom from April to October, depending on the climate. The flowers are arranged in a loose cluster and are moderately showy, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Wavy Bittercress is appreciated for its early spring blooms and its ability to thrive in moist, shady conditions where other plants may struggle. It is often used in naturalized plantings, woodland gardens, and as a ground cover in damp areas. Gardeners value it for its ease of maintenance and for the textural contrast its delicate foliage provides. It prefers consistently moist soil, tolerates a range of soil types, and grows best in partial to full shade. While not commonly cultivated, it can be a useful plant for challenging damp, shaded garden spots. However, it can self-seed prolifically and become weedy in favorable conditions. It is also known to host clubroot, a disease that affects plants in the cabbage family.
