Its inflorescences are green or yellow and bloom in the summer, providing a subtle visual interest rather than showy flowers.

Reed Bentgrass is valued for its adaptability to various soil types and its ability to thrive in both full sun and part shade. It is often used for erosion control on slopes and riverbanks due to its dense root system.
