Verticordia plumosa, commonly known as Plume Feather-Flower, is an evergreen subshrub native to the sandy plains and scrublands of Southwestern Australia. It typically grows to a height of 1.4 meters (5 feet) with a similar spread, featuring an openly branched habit. The linear leaves are complemented by rounded clusters of scented flowers that come in shades of pink, mauve, or white. The flowers are particularly showy, arranged in rounded or corymb-like groups on stalks 1.5–11 mm (0.06–0.4 inches) long, and bloom at varying times depending on the variety.

Plume Feather-Flower is valued for its aromatic and colorful blooms, which make it a delightful addition to sensory gardens and xeriscapes. It is well-suited for cultivation in rockeries, as a border plant, or in containers. This subshrub thrives in full sun and requires low water once established, making it a low-maintenance choice for gardeners. It prefers well-drained soils and is tolerant of drought, heat, and poor soils. While Verticordia plumosa is not commonly affected by diseases, it can be susceptible to root rot in poorly drained conditions. It is not known for aggressive roots or significant pest problems.
