Serruria florida, commonly known as Blushing-Bride, is an evergreen perennial herb native to the fynbos heathlands of the Cape Provinces of South Africa. It typically grows to a height of 0.8 to 1.5 meters and spreads up to 0.5 meters wide. The plant features fine, needle-like leaves and bears delicate, feathery flowers that are white to pink in color, blooming from July to October in its native habitat. The flowers are particularly showy and sought after for their unique texture and soft hues.

Blushing-Bride is valued for its attractive, airy flowers which make it a popular choice for the cut flower trade. It is also appreciated as an ornamental plant in gardens, where it can be used in borders or as part of a mixed planting to provide contrast with its fine foliage and subtle flowers. This species prefers a well-drained position in full sun and tolerates dry conditions once established. It requires soils with medium drainage and benefits from regular watering during the growing season. While propagation is commonly done through cuttings, seed propagation can be challenging.
