Lindsaea orbiculata, commonly known as Round Leaf Lindsaea, is a semi-deciduous fern native to a variety of habitats including tropical rainforests, open woodlands, and forest margins in Southeast Asia and Australasia. It typically grows to a height of 1-1.5 feet (0.3-0.5 meters) and is known for its unique, almost circular fronds which add a distinctive texture to the plant’s appearance. The fronds are medium to dark green and can provide a lush, tropical feel to gardens.

Round Leaf Lindsaea is valued for its ability to thrive in shaded conditions, making it an excellent choice for understory plantings in tropical and subtropical gardens. It is also suitable for container gardening and terrariums due to its moderate size and attractive foliage. This fern prefers consistently moist soil conditions and high humidity, which mimic its natural rainforest habitat. It is relatively low-maintenance but may require additional watering during dry periods.
