Felicia aethiopica, commonly known as Blue Marguerite or Wild Aster, is an evergreen subshrub native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where it thrives in coastal scrub and open grasslands. It typically grows to a height of approximately 50 cm (1+2⁄3 ft) and is characterized by its compact, bushy form and daisy-like blue flowers with bright yellow centers that bloom profusely in spring, summer, and fall. The flowers are particularly showy and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Blue Marguerite is valued for its long flowering season and vibrant color, making it an excellent choice for borders, containers, and as a ground cover in garden settings. It is relatively low maintenance, requiring only occasional deadheading to promote further blooming. In cultivation, it prefers full sun to part shade and requires well-drained soil with moderate watering, though it is drought-tolerant once established. While generally disease-resistant, it can be susceptible to root rot if overwatered or planted in poorly drained soils.
