It can grow to a height of 12-15 feet (4-5 meters) and a width of 7-9 feet (2.1-2.7 meters), featuring glossy, light green leaves and inconspicuous greenish-white flowers followed by orange-red berries if both male and female plants are present. The berries are attractive to birds, making it a valuable plant for wildlife gardens. Flowering occurs in spring and is not particularly showy, but the plant’s foliage and berries provide visual interest.
