Coleonema album, commonly known as White Confetti Bush, is an evergreen shrub native to the fynbos region of Southwestern South Africa. It typically grows to a height and width of 4-5 feet (1.2-1.5 meters), forming a dense, rounded shape. The White Confetti Bush is characterized by its fine, needle-like leaves and small, star-shaped white flowers that bloom in winter and spring, providing a delicate display. The plant’s natural habitat includes coastal scrublands and mountainous areas where it is adapted to well-drained, sandy soils and is part of a unique ecosystem with high biodiversity.

White Confetti Bush is valued for its year-round foliage and the winter to spring flowering period when few other plants are in bloom. It is often used in residential gardens for ornamental purposes, in borders, and as a fragrant, low hedge. This shrub is drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance, making it suitable for water-wise gardens. While it prefers full sun to part shade, it is adaptable to various light conditions. It is also known for its aromatic foliage when brushed against or crushed.
