Anemonastrum canadense, commonly known as Canadian Anemone, is a deciduous perennial herb native to a variety of habitats including moist meadows, streambanks, and open woodlands across Central and Eastern USA, as well as multiple Canadian provinces. It typically grows 20–80 cm (8–31 inches) tall and produces a cluster of basal leaves from which the flower stalks rise. The white flowers, which are quite showy, bloom from late spring to early summer and are followed by fluffy seed heads. Canadian Anemone’s foliage can also add texture to garden settings.
